About Me

Hi, I’m Ibukun Taiwo and I’m your friendly internet writer.

Ibukun Taiwo

This blog is the annexe where I store the other part of my mind.

The delicate parts.

First and foremost, if you’re looking for someone who could help you with any content creation and writing project, you’ve come to the right place.

I spend most days writing and ideating stories about startups, technology and business in Africa. I used to be Managing Editor at TechCabal. Then, I moved to Enterprise54 where I was the Technology Editor for a brief spell.

Then one day, I met a brilliant man who invited me to come help him build Buffrspace as the Content and Communications Lead. I did that for a while writing, interviewing industry players, and quarterbacking the startup’s social media and content strategy.

In 2017, I began a new adventure as the Content and Communications Lead at the Sustainable and Inclusive Digital Financial Services initiative of the Lagos Business School.

Through out my career, I’ve covered diverse subjects and themes — tech startups, coworking and the sharing economy, and now fintech and financial services.

Whenever I’m not stuck within the confines of an office space, I moonlight as a copywriter, editor and ghostwriter (whichever hat fits).

I love stories and I’d love nothing else than to spend all day reading them. But I can’t (because that’s toying with perpetual starvation). So, I do the next best thing which is writing and editing them.

I usually get paid for doing this.

I LIKE getting paid to do this.

For fun, I read novels, play videogames, do housecleaning and go on long walks.

I live in Lagos, Nigeria.

Here are some of the ways technology is distracting me from the real issues facing the planet. Just in case you want to get my attention or send me work:
